My experience as a preschool teacher spans over 15 years within a variety of classrooms and settings. My preschool classroom experience includes work as a teacher with Enchanted Care Learning Center and The Smoky Row Children's Center.

I’ve worked as a third-grade teacher in the Chicago suburbs, as a 4th grade teacher in a Charter school in Columbus, Ohio, and with preschoolers and kindergartners as a Food and Nutrition Educator.

I’ve also been an educator at The Columbus Zoo and Aquarium with the ZooKids program; a preschool aged program designed to teach children about animals and conservation, as well as a Literacy Specialist with the Columbus Metropolitan Library where I worked with families on how to best teach their children at home before they entered school, better preparing them for kindergarten.

All these work experiences have given me the ability to work with various ages, children and families of all kinds, and to adapt to different types of work environments.

Over the past year I worked to create Mandy's Confident Kids by working with eleven, 3-5 year old children through Zoom. I worked with one class of five children and worked with the remaining children individually. I met with these children twice a week for hour-long sessions where we practiced pre kindergarten skills such as letter recognition, letter sounds, writing, sorting and much more. The kids did fantastic over Zoom and learned a ton!

I look forward to using my knowledge to motivate your child, get them excited to learn, help them succeed, and work diligently so they can also become a confident kid!
